Meet Juice, a charming and affectionate 4-year-old neutered Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs around 56 lbs. Juice, also known as Joey by his foster, is a sensitive soul with soulful eyes who is searching for a calm, loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished. He loves to cuddle and will often rest his head and paw on your arm as a sweet way to show his affection. While he can be initially shy with new people, he builds trust with slow, gentle introductions and becomes deeply loyal and devoted once he feels secure.
Ideal Home
Juice would thrive in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He needs a cat-free home as he is not cat-friendly and will chase. He would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention.
Ongoing Health
Juice has shown some food aggression with other dogs, which is managed by him eating separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, but this is easily managed by respecting his boundaries.
Training & Support
Juice pulls on the leash when excited and is working on this. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing and has had some potty accidents, but he sleeps well in his crate through the night.
