Meet Kai, a delightful 4-year-old shepherd mix who embodies joy and enthusiasm! Weighing in at 47 pounds, this spayed girl is currently enjoying her foster life in San Antonio, Texas, but don't let that stop you if you're not nearby – transport can be arranged to bring her to her forever home once approved. Kai greets every day with a wagging tail and a playful spirit, making friends easily with dogs of all sizes and people of all ages. She absolutely loves to run, chase, and show off her happy zoomies, often accompanied by excited little barks. Toys are her best friends when she's not busy romping with her canine pals. Kai is the perfect companion for an active household, and after a good play session, she's content to snuggle up for pets and belly rubs.

Ideal Home

Kai would thrive in an active household where she can get plenty of exercise and playtime. She has done wonderfully with children and enjoys their affection. While she's generally happy to be left out, it's always recommended to crate new dogs until they've settled in. Loud noises or storms can make her a little nervous, but she settles with reassurance.

Ongoing Health

Kai is generally healthy and has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Kai is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She may pull slightly on the leash when she sees another dog, simply because she's so excited to meet them! With consistent love and reassurance, she overcomes her nervousness around loud noises and storms.
