Meet Baxter! This 5-pound Maltese is proof that the biggest personalities come in the smallest packages. Baxter is a charming mix of cuddly lap dog and curious explorer. One moment he's content to snuggle, the next he's off on an important mission to investigate his surroundings.

Having previously lived with a breeder, Baxter is now ready to embrace a life of luxury filled with soft blankets, warm laps, delicious treats, and plenty of adoration.

Ideal Home

Baxter would thrive in a home where he can be showered with attention. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely do fine with cats and respectful children. He would also be happy as the sole focus of your affection. Baxter has opinions and is not shy about vocalizing them, so he may not be the best fit for apartments or homes with shared walls if noise is a concern. Baxter absolutely refuses to be kenneled and needs a home that can accommodate this preference.

Ongoing Health

Baxter was recently neutered. He is still working on his potty training and leash skills.

Training & Support

Baxter is still mastering potty training and will wear a belly band until he is fully trained. He also needs to build confidence with stairs. Baxter can be quite vocal, especially if separated from his people, and he is not comfortable with crating.
