About Dagger

Dagger is a 6.5-month-old (estimated DOB January 2026), spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. She was rescued from the woods with her litter and mom and has grown up loved and cared for. Dagger, named for the dagger-shaped white marking on her neck and her formerly sharp puppy teeth, is a fearless and cuddly girl. She has a playful energy but is also settling into a wonderful companion. Dagger is potty trained and is growing into a confident, affectionate, and well-rounded dog. She is an athlete who loves to leap, climb, and test boundaries, but her favorite place is curled up in her person's lap, enjoying affection. Dagger approaches life with curiosity and confidence, and she's a social butterfly who enjoys every last second of adventure. She is playful, loving, mischievous, and incredibly affectionate, offering a perfect blend of adventure and loyalty. Dagger is friendly with strangers and almost always has her tail wagging. She enjoys playing with other dogs and has been raised with her littermates and mother. She has been around children and has done well, but has not been tested with cats.

Ideal Home

Dagger is looking for a family committed to reinforcing good manners, building her confidence, and helping her mature into an exceptional adult dog. A home where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time is preferred. Because she is an escape artist, future families should be aware and ensure enclosures are secure. A home with another friendly, well-mannered dog is preferred to help mentor and guide Dagger. If you don't currently have a dog, a proactive plan for continued socialization, such as training classes, playdates, or supervised daycare, is essential.

Ongoing Health

Dagger is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. No specific health conditions were mentioned in the listing.

Training & Support

Dagger is potty trained and continues to learn about the world around her. Ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice will help her thrive. Continued socialization is very important for her development.
