Krockett

Krockett is a handsome 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs around 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is a truly wonderful dog who is always happy and has a smile to share. He's incredibly loyal, polite, and intelligent, with a playful, joyful, and energetic spirit. Krockett would thrive in an active home where he can join his family on all sorts of outdoor adventures. He's already crate and leash trained, and he's a pro on car rides!

Ideal Home

Krockett would be happiest with a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and plenty of outdoor activities. He needs a home with a fenced backyard and owners who understand the dedication and patience required for rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly preferred, along with a high tolerance and patience for newly adopted pups.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has been through a comprehensive health protocol, including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, deworming, a negative heartworm test, and a health certificate. He also has a vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained and enjoys car rides, he is not yet house-trained. We understand that with many rescued animals, house-training can be a challenge due to our focus on their overall health and rehabilitation. We are looking for a family that can provide the necessary guidance and patience to help him master this skill.

• Following application review, a phone/email interview will be scheduled.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged with you, Krockett, and his foster family.
• A trial adoption period will be offered.

Transportation

Krockett is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. He is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $250.00 will apply and is the responsibility of the adopter, payable prior to the pet's departure.
