LucyLoo is a 2-year-old, 22-pound sweetheart with a one-of-a-kind look and the most stunning yellow eyes. She appears to be a Lhasa Apso mix, possibly with some Aussie or Beagle in her DNA — whatever her mix is, she is adorable, unique, and full of personality. LucyLoo recently came into rescue after her elderly owner was no longer able to safely keep her contained. She was recently shaved down because her coat had become difficult to manage, but when her coat grows back, she will need regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best. She has done well with other dogs and cats.
Ideal Home
LucyLoo has a history of digging out, so her new home will need a very secure, dig-proof fenced yard and people who understand that she will need supervision while outside. She is not a dog who should be left unattended in a yard. Because of her energy and escape-artist tendencies, we think she would do best in a home with adults or families with teens who can help keep doors, gates, and outdoor time safe and structured. Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six.
Ongoing Health
Her coat was recently shaved down and will require regular grooming once it grows back. Her future adopter should be prepared for ongoing professional grooming.
