Meet Bordeaux, a sweet and incredibly lovable 1-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua! She's a survivor with a heart full of love, ready to find her forever family. Bordeaux was rescued after being hit by a car, which resulted in a suspected pelvic fracture and a non-displaced mandibular fracture. Thanks to dedicated medical care, pain medication, and plenty of rest, she made a wonderful recovery and was even spayed. Though her previous owner never came to claim her, Bordeaux is now looking forward to a bright future and a loving home. She can be a little shy at first, but her affectionate nature shines through as she quickly bonds with her favorite people. Bordeaux is eager to be cherished and is looking for a patient and understanding family to help her settle in.

Ideal Home

A family that will cherish her and be there for her. Due to her gentle nature and recovery needs, a home with children ages 8 and older is recommended over younger toddlers.

Ongoing Health

Bordeaux has recovered well from a pelvic fracture and a mandibular fracture sustained from being hit by a car. She was spayed during her recovery.

Training & Support

It's unknown if Bordeaux was allowed on furniture or is fully house-trained. A patient and understanding family is needed to provide her with time and guidance as she adjusts. While she gets along with other dogs, rough play should be avoided as she continues to heal.
