Meet Rachel, a sweet and gentle girl with a heart full of love and a big love for snuggles! She's a "Pocket Pittie" at 58lbs with short legs and an estimated birthday of June 2, 2022. Rachel is a social butterfly who enjoyed meeting everyone at a recent adoption event, from kids to adults to strangers. She's kennel and potty trained, making her an easy-going roommate. While Rachel enjoys the company of other dogs, she prefers to take her time getting to know them, so proper introductions are key. She's described as having a beautiful soul and a gentle nature, and she's just waiting for her forever family to share all the love she has to give.
Ideal Home
Rachel would love a home where she can be with her people, enjoying cuddles and everyday adventures. She's great with people of all ages and is a good roommate, but when it comes to canine companions, she's a bit more selective and prefers to be properly introduced before deciding if they'll be besties.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
