Meet Linden, a handsome ~2-3 year old chihuahua/small terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Linden was rescued from a hoarding/neglect case in Kentucky along with the other Tree pups. He is currently being fostered in CT and is ready to find his furever home! Linden is a shy/nervous boy who takes some time to trust and warm up to new people. He wants so badly to connect with people, but he is scared and unsure. Once he knows you are safe, he is very sweet! He is looking for someone who will be patient with him and give him a little time and space to come to them on his own terms. Linden is making great progress! Although he remains a bit shy, he has shown remarkable improvement and is such a sweet pup.
Ideal Home
Linden is good with other dogs, cats (he ignores them), people, and older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to his nervous/timid nature). He definitely likes the company of another small/medium dog.
Ongoing Health
Linden is medically up to date.
Training & Support
We've started teaching him some basic commands, focusing on "come" and "sit." He understands "come," but we're still working on "sit." He's fantastic on the leash, enjoys his walks and recently enjoyed trips to Petco and Home Depot, he was a bit scared at first but did great. He is housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while acclimating to a new environment/routine) and crate trained.
