Meet Cody! 🐾 Cody is a handsome, adult Golden Retriever looking for a very special forever home where he can truly thrive. He came back to us for a fresh start, and while his previous home didn't provide the structure he needed, leading to a bite history, Cody has made incredible progress! He completed a board-and-train program and is currently with a dedicated foster who is continuing his training with a professional. Cody is smart, eager to learn, and loves staying active. With the right guidance, he has so much potential to live a happy, balanced life.

Ideal Home

Cody needs an experienced, committed adopter who can provide structure, leadership, and ongoing training. He would do best in a home without children and without other dogs, unless the adopter has significant experience with behavioral cases. An active lifestyle with at least 1.5 hours of daily exercise and enrichment is essential for Cody to thrive.

Cody is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Cody has a bite history from his previous home, but has made great strides with professional training. Adopters must be committed to continuing his training with a professional and providing consistent structure and leadership.

Applications for Cody start by contacting us through Wags. All adopters must agree to the Tattered Paws contract, which includes a clause that Cody must be returned to the rescue if the adoption does not work out for any reason.
