A little about them
Uno is a sweet, goofy 3-year-old boy who has made remarkable progress since arriving in rescue more than 20 pounds underweight. He loves water, baths, nail clipping, enrichment activities, bones, and running in a yard. He enjoys giving other dogs kisses, though he can become overexcited and may jump on them.
Uno needs a patient family willing to continue working on his leash frustration around other animals and help him manage his excitement around dogs. He is not a fan of his crate but will enter when needed and would prefer sleeping beside his people. He also needs ongoing management and medication because he may drink too much water at once and regurgitate it.
Thunderstorms are especially frightening for Uno, particularly when he is crated or separated from his people. He does best when he can stay close to his humans and feel safe.
Ideal Home
Uno would thrive with a patient, loving family who will continue supporting his training and help him enjoy life as the big, affectionate boy he is. He likes other dogs, but his excitement around them will need guidance.
Ongoing Health
Uno takes medication to help manage drinking too much water at once and regurgitating it. His family will need to continue managing this with him.
Training & Support
Uno enjoys scratch boards, licky mats, snuffle mats, and bones. He tolerates baths and nail clipping. His family should continue working on his leash frustration, overexcitement around dogs, crate comfort, and storm anxiety.
