William Shakespaw is a wonderfully goofy pup who loves to be by your side, whether he's lounging at your feet or showering you with affectionate licks. He's bursting with energy and truly enjoys his daily walks, enthusiastically engaging with his toys and exploring his surroundings with curiosity. William is a devoted follower, often trailing you around the house and might playfully nibble on your shoe to get your attention. He's been in a loving foster home for about a year, where he's blossomed and learned so much. He gets along well with other dogs, but his playful puppy exuberance might be a bit much for a senior dog. He's been great with young children, though he's still learning to be aware of his size. He's incredibly gentle, even taking treats from a baby's hand. William would thrive with a confident and patient handler who is eager to help him mature and grow into the best boy he can be.
Ideal Home
The perfect family for William should be outgoing and love the outdoors. Ideally, this would be a family with older children and perhaps a younger canine sibling for him to play with.
Ongoing Health
William is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He has been neutered. He has zero food aggression and is not reactive when other dogs growl at him. He is crate trained and stays quietly in his crate overnight.
Training & Support
William is potty trained and walks well on a leash, though he's still perfecting his manners. He can get a little excited and may have "sprinkles" when overstimulated, but a belly band helps manage this. He is treat motivated and is working hard on his obedience. When the doorbell rings, he prefers to howl rather than growl. He is a dream when his foster mom works from home and loves attention.
