About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs and is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that guarantees daily laughter. Coraline's favorite game is peek-a-boo, and she expresses her playful spirit in the gentlest, funniest ways. She is deeply people-oriented and loves being near her humans, often following them around like a shadow. Coraline isn't overly clingy and shows affection with sweet puppy kisses or by resting a paw or her nose against your leg. She has an impressively calm and balanced temperament, making her a wonderful work-from-home buddy, content to entertain herself quietly with a toy or bone. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before happily continuing to play or explore. Coraline is the perfect mix of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – she'll be your sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation. She's happy with leisurely walks, short play sessions in a fenced yard, or cozy evenings on the couch. She loves puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, squeaky toys, ropes, and chew toys. Coraline would benefit from a family that understands she's not yet fully confident in busy public areas, but with more exposure and socialization, she has the potential to be an amazing outdoor adventure buddy. She would adore a family that includes her in their outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. She needs to live in a home with a fenced yard. No apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas. She needs to have her human home more often than not but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and needs additional practice to boost her confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with positive reinforcement. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. A consistent schedule is recommended initially, and a doggy doorbell can be helpful if a doggy door is not available.
