Solstice

Sweet Solstice is a young dog who is still learning to trust. She arrived in our care with her eight puppies and a heartworm diagnosis, but she's on the road to recovery and ready for her own happy ending! Solstice is a quiet girl who is shy with new people, but she shows a strong eagerness to be friends with every human she meets and most dogs too. Cats make her nervous, so a home without feline companions would be ideal. A gentle hand and some patience will help Solstice blossom into the wonderful dog she's meant to be. She would do best in a quieter home with a consistent routine, but she's not above a bit of playful fun once she's comfortable. She even enjoys car rides, though she might be a little nervous at first! We know that shy dogs aren't for everyone, but we're confident that the perfect family for this sweet girl is out there!

A quieter home with a steady schedule would be best for Solstice. She would prefer a home without cats.

Ongoing Health

Solstice was heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment.

Training & Support

Solstice is shy with new people and will need a patient adopter to help her gain confidence.
