My name is Piper and I'm a 6-year-old, 60-pound German Shepherd who is still waiting for her happy ending! I'm past the puppy chaos and into the best years of my life. I'm the perfect mix of playful, loyal, and loving – the kind of dog who will happily chase a ball in the yard and then curl up nearby just to be close to her people.

I was heartbreakingly abandoned by the people I trusted most, but despite that, I still believe in love! I greet each day with hope that my forever family is out there somewhere. My absolute favorite things in the world are playing fetch, carrying around my treasured gingerbread toy, and spending time with my humans. I don't ask for much – just a soft bed, a few toys, and someone who will never leave me behind again.

I would do best as an only dog or with a dog my size or larger.

Training & Support

I am house-trained and walk nicely on a leash. I can be a little shy when meeting new people and may try to look tough at first, but it's all a front. Underneath is a gentle soul who simply wants to feel safe and loved again. I do well with children.
