Boots

Meet Boots, a lovely Border Collie mix with a spirit as bright as her future! Boots is estimated to be around 4 years old, but her energy and zest for life suggest she's much younger. She's had a challenging start, spending her life on a chain, but thanks to a kind foster mom, she's blossoming beautifully in a home environment. Boots is a champion in the making, enjoying playtime with her doggie friends, Cora and even a senior pup named Socks. While she can be a bit shy initially, her warm and grateful personality shines through quickly. She's fully vetted, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworm.

Ideal Home

Boots would thrive in a home where she can continue to learn what it means to be loved and receive plenty of one-on-one attention. She enjoys having a yard to explore and is content playing indoors, often seeking comfort under a table. While she hasn't been exposed to cats in her foster home, her reputation suggests caution may be needed.

Ongoing Health

Boots is fully vetted, microchipped, and her 4DX test was negative.

Training & Support

Boots may pull a little on the leash initially but responds well to gentle reminders. She hops into cars easily and rides nicely. She enjoys darting in and out of an open back door, a playful quirk that shows her growing comfort. She has shown no inclination to dig or climb fences. She is a gentle and grateful dog who seeks safety and affection.

Boots is currently in a foster home in Kentucky. We are a small rescue and do not offer transport at this time.
