If you love Terriers, then you MUST check out this guy!
Terrier breeds are spirited, intelligent, and famously independent dogs that were originally bred to hunt vermin and protect property.
Carmine is a 2-year-old Terrier mix who weighs 22 pounds and has many of the qualities that terrier lovers want in a dog! Carmine is a sweet, active, happy, and loving. He is social with people and LOVES other dogs. He would enjoy a home with a doggie playmate, or perhaps one that provides regular doggie daycare playdates. He enjoys chewing on bones and playing tug-of-war. Carmine has a medium energy level and would thrive in an active home to keep him physically fit and mentally stimulated.
Carmine is smart like the Terrier breed, too! He is crate- and house-trained and even rings the bell at the door to be let outside. Speaking of outside, Carmine LOVES to be outside! When he isn't outside taking a sniffari, he enjoys lounging in front of a window looking out at his domain.
Carmine walks well on a leash. He prefers to take lots of sniff breaks and to have time to survey the neighborhood. He gets along well with people, but needs a home without young children. Older children who are respectful of his space (especially when he is eating) would be fine. Mealtimes are the highlight of Carmine's day, and he is a bit possessive of food.
Carmine's foster says he is a super smart, sweet angel who is easy to care for. To meet Carmine, fill out an adoption application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. His adoption fee is $225 and includes his neuter, his microchip, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
