Slim Jim’s story began on a busy county road, where he was found and brought to safety. Underweight and unsure, this tender boy has been slowly learning that people can be gentle and good. Even though he hasn’t been with us long, Slim Jim has already shown us what a precious soul he is. He’s a quiet companion who melts into you the moment you sit down beside him. Cuddles are his love language, and he’d happily trade a whole bag of treats for a calm moment with his favorite humans. Out on walks, Slim Jim is a dream—easy on the leash, happy to stroll, and always ready to pause for a good sniff. He’s still settling in, so we’re taking our time getting to know his personality before introducing him to any dog friends.

Ongoing Health

Slim Jim did test positive for heartworms and has begun treatment, but he’s handling everything with the same gentle spirit he brings to each day. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.

Slim Jim is still settling in and learning about the world. We are taking our time getting to know his personality before introducing him to any dog friends.
