Dewey

Dewey is a fun-loving, affectionate, and resilient young female dog with tons of personality! Named after the sunny Dewey Beach, she's a compact lowrider who brings big fun. Dewey is all about enjoying life – running, playing, and zooming around, and then happily settling in for snuggles. She has a sweet, friendly nature and greets the world with trust and joy. Dewey has a unique look with a patch on her back where fur is unlikely to grow back; shelter vets believe these may be old burn scars, but it doesn't slow her down at all. She's currently participating in a 10-week training program to help her shine as the perfect companion.

Ideal Home

Dewey would thrive in a home that can match her zest for life with plenty of opportunities for play and zoomies, followed by cozy snuggles.

Ongoing Health

Dewey has a patch on her back where fur is unlikely to grow back, believed to be old burn scars. This does not affect her health or happiness.

Training & Support

Dewey is currently in a prison training program working on basic cues and manners. She is described as house-trained.
