60 Pounds of Lap Dog Delusion, Wrapped in a Velvety Snuggle Suit
Teddy is what happens when a full-grown dog is 100% convinced he’s a throw pillow. At 6 years old and 60 pounds, this mixed-breed cuddle machine lives for snuggling—on the couch, on your lap, on your chest while you’re trying to read a text. His ears are docked, his soul is squishy, and yes, he responds to “Theodore” when he’s being extra. Teddy is the ultimate love bug and couch potato. He greets everyone like an old friend, settles in like he’s lived there forever, and is completely content just being near his humans. He’s got a goofy playstyle, endless affection, and absolutely zero concept of personal space—in the best way. When it comes to treats, Teddy has refined taste: Whimzees, meat samples of any variety, cheese sticks, cream cheese… you name it, he’ll happily sample it. His absolute favorite? Ice cubes, a.k.a. “water cookies.” Snack time is serious business for this ham, and he’s just waiting for a cuddle-and-dine partner to share life (and snacks) with. Teddy is friendly with other dogs in passing but truly shines as a people-dog. We think he’d do best as the one-and-only pup in your home—so he can soak up all your love, attention, and couch space—while still enjoying neighbor dog buddies for social hellos.
Ideal Home
Teddy would do best as the one-and-only pup in your home, soaking up all the love and attention. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
Ongoing Health
Teddy has an old injury on his front leg. An X-ray revealed shrapnel, indicating he was shot at some point in his life. The wound healed a little awkwardly, but it does not slow him down.
Training & Support
Teddy is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on leash with the occasional reminder. He loves structure and routine. He can have a little sass when he thinks he's the boss of the room.
