Bear

Bear is a sweet, loving, and happy dog with a sensitive side. When he gets anxious, his energy spikes, but he truly just craves comfort and connection. He is crate trained and sleeps soundly in his crate each night. Bear knows basic commands and even some fun ones like "crate," "high five," and "hug"!

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home where he is the only pet, or with an older, wiser dog who understands and respects boundaries. He would do best with older children who can recognize and respect his boundaries, helping him feel secure. He would not be a good fit for a home with young children who might not understand his anxiety and nervousness. Bear is also known to be a counter surfer, so keeping high-value items out of reach is a must. He can also become possessive of high-value items found on the ground.

Ongoing Health

Bear's adoption fee includes his first 2 DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilization, a heartworm test, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Bear is still learning to be his best self and will do best with a patient and knowledgeable owner. Owners should be mindful of his tendency to counter surf and become possessive of items on the ground.
