THELMA

THELMA is a sweet, 32-pound Terrier mix estimated to be between 1 and 3 years old. She arrived at the shelter with her friend, LOUISE, who is also looking for a home. THELMA is a cute girl who is currently undersocialized and needs a patient adopter to help her build confidence and learn how to navigate the world.

Ideal Home

THELMA would do best in a patient home environment where she can gain confidence. It's unknown if she is good with children or cats, so a meet-and-greet with any potential resident children, dogs, or cats is essential to ensure a good fit. While she can be adopted with LOUISE, they are not a bonded pair and may thrive better in separate homes.

Ongoing Health

THELMA has received her DA2PP and Bordetella vaccines. She is not yet spayed, but is on a waiting list for the procedure. If she is not spayed before adoption, her adoption fee includes a $75 voucher to go towards her spay surgery at a veterinarian of your choice.

Training & Support

THELMA is undersocialized and will need time and patience to help her gain confidence. It is difficult to determine housebreaking status in a shelter environment, so adopters should assume she is not housebroken and be pleasantly surprised if she is.
