Hi, my name is Balou! I'm a 40-pound, all-black pocket pittie mix who my foster mom says is just perfect. I absolutely love my crate and never cry, whine, or have accidents in it. I'm also potty trained, though I might have a little accident if you don't catch me at the door in time.
Kids are my absolute favorite! I love giving them kisses and playing with them all the time. I've never once bitten or growled at them. Cuddling is my favorite thing in the world – I think I'm a tiny chihuahua because I love to snuggle up on my foster mom's lap! I'm also a big fan of giving kisses all day long. I'm a quiet pup, too; I only barked once when I first arrived, but I quickly realized I was safe and haven't barked since.
I really love food and will eat everything in sight! While I'm not aggressive about my food, I could probably use some manners around mealtime, but I'm still a very good doggie. I'm not a huge fan of toys, but I do love to zoom around the house, especially when the kids are around to make it even more fun! My foster mom doesn't have other pets, but I think I'd be okay with them. I've seen dogs and cats outside and they don't bother me.
I'm healthy, up-to-date on all my shots, and will never have puppies again! I do have an old injury to my leg that wasn't fixed, and sometimes it hurts because of arthritis. However, the vet says medicine will make it feel much better.
Ideal Home
A home with lots of love and attention, especially from children, would be wonderful.

I have arthritis in my leg from an old injury, but with medication, I can feel much better.
Training & Support
I'm mostly potty trained but might have occasional accidents if my cues are missed. I also need some manners training around food. I am not a fan of toys but love to play with my people!
