At eleven years young, she is living proof that the finest desserts come frosted, not fresh from the oven. Babygirl is not simply a dog; she's a living, breathing weighted blanket, engineered by the universe to soothe your soul, warm your thighs, and gently pin you to the couch with love and just a hint of snoring. She specializes in leisurely afternoons spent in a sunbeam, warm, full-body cuddles that reset your nervous system, staring at you with such gentle devotion you'll age backwards, and a fetch style best described as "slow cinema." She is house trained, kennel trained, and sofa-trained - meaning she has a doctorate in napping and holds office hours from noon to eternity. Leave her home? No problem. She will simply resume her deep, introspective slumber until you return, whereupon she will greet you as if you survived an odyssey. She adores every human she meets - the mailman, the neighbors, the neighbor's cousins - all are honored guests in the royal court of Babygirl. But when it comes to other pets, she politely says, "My kingdom is a single-citizen monarchy, thank you." Truly, this angel just wants a soft couch, a warm lap, leisurely strolls beneath the evening sky, and someone to share the quiet magic of life with. Ideal Home

Babygirl would thrive in a home with a soft couch and a warm lap. She would prefer to be the only pet in the household.

Ongoing Health

Adoption fees for adult dogs cover age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

Babygirl is house trained, kennel trained, and sofa-trained.

• All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process.
• Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received, we ask you to submit an application; that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue.

Transporation

Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
