Keri

Keri is a very well-mannered and incredibly lazy dog who originally came to us from Kuwait in 2019 after a traumatic start. She was rescued from the desert and made her way to us through a long journey. Keri was adopted in 2020 but, through no fault of her own, lost her home. She's looking for a companion who understands her need for a relaxed lifestyle but can also encourage her to be a little less sedentary.

Ideal Home

Keri would do best in a home with a moderately lazy owner who will ensure she gets a walk or two daily and is not overfed. She is a devoted companion for a single person and would prefer to be the sole focus of her owner's attention. Keri is not a fan of yippy little dogs and would prefer to coexist with dogs her own size, or no dogs at all, as long as they don't bother her. She is not a cat-friendly dog.

Ongoing Health

Keri is significantly overweight, with only part of it attributed to her thyroid. The remainder is due to being overfed and under-exercised. Her ideal weight is in the mid-40 pound range, and she is currently about 25% over that.

Training & Support

Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. The key to her success will be an owner who is committed to responsible feeding and exercise to help her reach a healthier weight.
