Purple is a 5-year-old Yorkie mix with a remarkable story of resilience. Just a few months ago, Purple was living with a painful leg wound that had gone untreated for nearly two months. What should have been a manageable medical issue became much more serious because he never received the care he needed. Thankfully, those days are behind him. Purple received the surgery he needed, recovered beautifully in foster care, and is now ready to find the forever home he has worked so hard for. Not only did Purple have to heal physically, he also had to adjust to losing the only home he had ever known. Despite everything he has been through, Purple remains a sweet, loving little dog who still believes people are worth trusting. His foster describes him as sensitive, affectionate, and incredibly devoted once he feels safe. Purple loves cozy dog beds, couch cuddles, wet food, and being close to his people. He greets his favorite humans with tail wags, kisses, and the sweetest expression. Purple's transformation has been incredible, but the best chapter of his story is still waiting to be written. He is ready to find a family that will love him, cherish him, and give him the happy ending he deserves.

Purple would do best in a home without small children, as he can be nervous when overwhelmed. He is looking for a patient family that will allow him time to settle in and continue building confidence.
