Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, a typical multiple breed mix with a lot of Chihuahua, who's approximately 1 year old and weighs about 19 lbs. He absolutely loves to play with his squeaky toys and cherishes petting and attention. Duncan is a quiet and well-behaved companion who seems to be pretty house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training. He gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home.

Ideal Home

We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms when he was rescued and has been treated according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically find that dogs test negative for heartworms within 4 to 6 months after treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza), and are on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is pretty well house-trained and does well on a leash, but could use a little more training to polish his skills.
