HEARTBREAKER ALERT: REMY NEEDS A FAMILY ASAP

Meet Remy. She has spent the last 198 days waiting for someone to choose her. She arrived at Balch Springs Animal Services on December 8, 2025, after being surrendered by her owner, and it breaks our hearts to say that the shelter environment is starting to take its toll.

Remy is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who is a true survivor. When she first came to us, she was a bit malnourished, but we got her safely up to weight. She also tested positive for heartworms, but she fought right through her treatments and has officially completed them! Now, she is fully vetted, healthy, and completely ready for her fresh start.
