REX, a.k.a Rexie the Bestie, a volunteer FAV

Meet Rex, also known as Rexie the Bestie! This handsome 68lb Black Lab mix, with an estimated birthday in September 2020, is a volunteer favorite for good reason. Rex is a bubbly and outgoing guy who loves to play, enjoys a good sit for a treat, and is always eager for some quality time with his people. He thrives on affirmation and will shower you with guaranteed kisses! Don't be surprised if this almost 70lb sweetheart tries to snuggle up on your lap, as he clearly thinks he's a lap dog.

Rex came to us as a stray and has overcome a difficult past. He's now ready to share his immense love with a forever person or family. Rex has attended several adoption events and proven to be a remarkably sweet and social boy, even enjoying an outing to an Astros watch party where he happily received hugs and kisses. He's also been a perfect gentleman dining out at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy, Bambi, patiently resting under the table.

Training & Support

Rex is kennel and potty trained. He is dog selective and friendly with other dogs, particularly females, after proper introductions. He has a sweet disposition and is a fast learner, eager to please and receive praise.

Transporation

Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is available to various locations, with options for pickup in nearby towns or states. We work with ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will be able to track your dog's journey via the Life360 app and receive updates.
