Cally is a 3.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull mix, weighing around 40 pounds. She’s a high-energy, happy-go-lucky girl with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. Cally is playful, affectionate, curious, and endlessly kind, bringing joy and laughter wherever she goes. She has a charming habit of giving the biggest, silliest smiles when she’s getting affection and is a world-class cuddler.
Ideal Home
Cally would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her energy and continue her training. She loves other dogs of all sizes and plays beautifully with both males and females, so another playful dog would be an amazing bonus, though not required. She is excellent with kids, both small and big, and is always gentle and friendly. Cally is also very welcoming to strangers. She needs a crate to decompress in and plenty of toys. While she is house-trained, she needs supervision indoors until she is more reliable to prevent her from getting into shoes or blankets, especially fluffy ones. Cally needs to be separated from other dogs at mealtime due to mild food-related resource guarding from other dogs, though she is fine with people.

Training & Support
Cally is fully crate trained and house trained. She does great in a car kennel and sleeps quietly through the night. She does not have separation anxiety. On leash, she may pull at the beginning out of excitement but calms down with continued training. She is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Cally needs continued supervision indoors until she is more reliable and needs to be fed separately from other dogs.

Applications start by contacting us through Wags. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.
Transporation
Cally is currently located in San Antonio, Texas and will be transported once an adopter is approved. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
