Meet Bubba Bear, a charming approximately 3-year-old pup who looks like a fluffy black bear cub with a sweet, toothless smile! He's a gentle giant, weighing around 60 lbs, and we believe he might be a Black Lab/Pittie mix, though with rescue, breed and age are always a delightful mystery. Bubba is the epitome of easygoing, bringing a sense of peace wherever he goes. He's not one for roughhousing; he prefers to peacefully coexist and enjoys a good group nap. His foster mom describes him as her little shadow, always nearby but never demanding. He's a quiet, steady companion who makes working from home a little less lonely.

Ideal Home

Bubba would thrive in a calm home that matches his mellow personality. He's more of a homebody and would be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard where he can enjoy a predictable routine and a peaceful environment. Apartment living or life in the middle of a busy city likely wouldn't be his ideal match. He would do best with another calm, mellow dog who shares his laid-back outlook on life rather than an energetic playmate.

Training & Support

Bubba is crate trained, though he prefers not to be crated alone and settles best when he can see his family or canine friends nearby. He's also doing wonderfully with potty training and has figured out how to use a doggy door if needed. He's a bit of a slow burn when it comes to new people and environments, preferring to observe and take things at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, his affectionate side shines through with gentle requests for pets.
