He was rescued with his mother, Wanda, and siblings from a wooded area known for animal abandonment. Sentry loves cuddles, playing with his siblings, going for walks, and making every moment fun. He is affectionate, playful, and endlessly loving, greeting everyone with enthusiasm.
Sentry is potty-trained and is growing into a confident and well-rounded dog. He is outgoing, friendly, and eager to make new friends, whether human or canine. He loves playing with other dogs and has done well with children. Sentry is continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience and is eager to learn. He is still an adolescent and needs a family committed to reinforcing good manners, building his confidence, and helping him mature.
Ideal Home
Sentry would thrive in a home that can provide ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice. He benefits greatly from continued socialization with new people, places, sounds, and friendly dogs. We prefer homes with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor him, but if you don't currently have a dog, we'd like to hear your plan for continued socialization. Due to his age, we prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
