Ongoing Health
When Waylon arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter, he tested positive for Heartworm. The clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support throughout his treatment. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep him safe while he recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and full recovery is anticipated!
Training & Support
Waylon is eager to please and enjoys attention, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding with his new family.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older).
- They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives.
- Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
