Meet Sally! This 30-pound bundle of love is a professional cuddler who firmly believes personal space is overrated. If your dream is to have a dog who wants to be as close to you as physically possible, Sally is your girl!
Sally's journey began on the streets, where she was found living under a trailer with her puppies after experiencing neglect. She wandered the neighborhood searching for food to keep herself and her babies alive, and kind neighbors stepped in to help feed her. Eventually, these neighbors asked to take her in, and thankfully, her former owner agreed. Now, Sally is safe and sound in a loving foster home, and those difficult days are finally behind her.
Sally is pure, unconditional love. She is wonderfully affectionate and adores everyone she meets, especially children. She also gets along well with other dogs, though she appreciates slow, proper introductions. Once she's comfortable, she's happy to make friends. That said, she'd be just as content as your one and only companion, as people are truly her favorite.
Like the smart cattle dog she is, Sally learns quickly. She has mastered potty training and leash walking with ease. She is currently working on crate training, but she isn't a fan and has proven surprisingly talented at escaping! Thankfully, she has been trustworthy in the house and hasn't shown destructive behaviors, so she may not need to be crated once settled into her forever home.
Although we estimate Sally is only about a year old, she has an old soul. Her rough start in life seems to have given her a calm, appreciative outlook. She'll happily join you for hikes, road trips, or neighborhood walks, but coming home afterward to curl up on the couch with her favorite people is just as exciting for her. Sally has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal or safe place to sleep would come from. Now all she needs is a family who will love her as fiercely as she'll love them.
