About Honey

Honey is a 7.5 lb, 4-year-old female Chihuahua who has truly stolen her foster mom's heart. She is a smart girl who has mastered the doggie door and prefers to do her business outside. She loves to cuddle on the couch, but if you are busy, she will happily follow you around until she's ready to snuggle up in your bed. While her foster mom adores her, she knows it is time for this sweet girl to shine with a family of her own. Honey has shown incredible resilience since joining us. Although she was understandably stressed after leaving her previous home, and had a one-time seizure, she is now thriving thanks to the love and patience of her foster family. She is officially ready to find her new family.

Ideal Home

Honey prefers a quiet home with little stress. She would be perfect for a single, less active person who prefers to watch Netflix and hang out at home. She loves to go on car rides and would love to join her human while they run their errands.

Ongoing Health

Honey had a one-time seizure but is otherwise healthy. A full blood panel came back perfectly normal. She is spayed, microchipped, and has received her rabies vaccine and DAPP.

Training & Support

Honey is crate trained but would definitely prefer to sleep in bed with her human. She sleeps all night without a peep. When Honey is overstimulated or stressed, she will start licking with her tongue and smacking her lips but will stop when picked up and reassured. This is just a quirk and she is not in pain. She does not need a furry playmate because she prefers human interaction over other dogs, but she does get along with other dogs wonderfully. With proper introduction, we feel as though she would do fine with cats.
