Dottie

Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of joy looking for her forever family! She's a loyal and goofy companion with a huge personality that's sure to bring laughter and love into your home. Dottie is a master cuddler who also loves to play, especially with rope toys and stuffies. She's incredibly intelligent and food-motivated, making training a breeze. When she's not showering you with affection, she enjoys a good game of tug-o-war.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can get at least one good walk or play session a day. She does best with one or two calm canine companions and is also great with cats, often leaving them to their own devices unless they initiate play. She would also be perfectly happy as the sole pet, soaking up all your love and attention. Due to past experiences, Dottie is most comfortable in a home without young males or boys. She is, however, wonderful with adult men and fantastic when meeting women.

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, and is all set to start her new life!

Training & Support

Dottie is a pro at walking nicely on leash, though she can get excited and pull a bit if she sees another dog. She is also fully potty trained and crate trained. While she can be left to free-roam and does well, she does whine initially when settling into her crate, but will eventually relax. She willingly enters her kennel and often rests there while her foster mom works.

Transportation

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
