About Ladybug

Meet the lovely Ladybug! This smaller-medium dog has a giant heart and all the best traits: mellow but loves a good walk or hike (and is also happy with an easy stroll), potty trained, gentle, cuddly, and silly. She's crate trained with some encouragement but would much rather be free in the house, where she's had no issues. Ladybug is a quiet girl, only offering a playful woof or adorable grumbling sound occasionally, as if she's trying to talk!

Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, she's now loving life in Colorado and showing her appreciation for a home. She loves to be near her people and follows them around the house. She's even the poster dog for the downward dog yoga pose, a stretch she loves and looks so cute doing!

Ideal Home

Ladybug is good with kids and dogs, enjoying gentle interactions with children. While she's currently in a foster home without other animals, she has lived with dogs and gets along well with them. She'd likely be good with cats, though she hasn't been tested. She isn't aggressive toward smaller critters and shows interest in prairie dogs and bunnies by watching them or a playful gallop-chase, but that's the extent of her curiosity. Homeownership is required.

Ongoing Health

Ladybug has completed her heartworm treatment and only needs a final check-up in several months. She shows no differences from any other dog and has no activity restrictions.

Training & Support

Ladybug is a well-behaved girl who is potty trained and generally does well in the house. She sleeps in her own bed or chair at night but has also slept in a previous foster's bed or a crate.
