Foxie Girl

My name is Foxie Girl and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a 7-year-old, 32 lb bundle of shy sweetness. I came to my foster home in Jonesburg, MO, from a commercial breeding facility where I worked hard making puppies. Life with humans wasn't always gentle or kind, so I’m a little reserved at first. But my foster parents are so patient and loving, showering me with praise and helping me learn that people can be wonderful! I'm blossoming and my true personality is starting to shine. I love to explore the fenced yard, and having other dogs around makes me feel safe and confident. I'm even learning how to play with them! I get along great with the other dogs here and have shown no interest in chasing the resident cats. I'm also getting the hang of leash walking, though I'm not quite ready for neighborhood strolls just yet, as sudden movements and loud noises can still startle me.

Ideal Home

A securely fenced yard is a must for my explorations and playtime. I’ll thrive with a resident dog to guide me and help me continue to build my confidence. Cats are perfectly fine, but I’d do best in a home without small children, as they can be a bit overwhelming for me.

Ongoing Health

I’m a healthy girl, spayed and vaccinated. The vet did note a grade 2 heart murmur, but assured me it’s not currently causing any issues and requires no treatment.

Training & Support

I’m learning so much with my foster family, including how to walk on a leash! I can be a bit timid with new things, so patience and a gentle approach will be key to my continued adjustment.
