A DARLING GIRL: Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 39 lbs. & needs to lose weight
Hi there, I'm Delilah! I was adopted from Mostly Mutts in 2020 and had a wonderful home with a beloved Mostly Mutts volunteer, but sadly she passed away, and we all miss her very much. Thankfully, I'm in a wonderful foster home while Mostly Mutts helps me on my journey to finding another loving home, for which I'm so very grateful. I came back with another dog that was also adopted from Mostly Mutts, but we do not need to be adopted together - though if you happen to be looking for two sweet dogs, please consider us together. His name is John Henry.
Ideal Home
I am a sweet, friendly girl who can be a bit shy at first until I get to know you. Once I get to know you, I enjoy being close to my person and relaxing at home together, as I'm a pretty chill girl. I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I preferred the more mellow dogs. My foster reports that I've been great with the dogs I've met, though some larger dogs can be a little scary to me. I currently live with two other dogs, so if you have a dog already, let's meet and see if we can be pals, too. Cats unknown. I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and was sweet with them. I got a little frightened when they ran, but I didn't show any aggression. My foster reports that I have done very well with kids, though calmer kids would be my preference. So, if you have kids 10+, let's meet. Fireworks can be a bit frightening for me.
Ongoing Health
I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult with their vet on a dental cleaning in the future.
Training & Support
I'm a smart girl who knows the sit and come commands so far and I bet you can teach me a lot more. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let's do some training together. I have not needed to be crated. I don't bother anything in my foster home that doesn't belong to me. My potty manners have been good in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too!
I enjoy going on shorter walks and am very happy relaxing at home and resting near my person. I also enjoy being petted and soaking up attention - and I'm a huge fan of belly rubs!
