Gina is an 8-month-old, 56lb spayed female Belgian Malinois mix with a heart full of love to give! She was found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box by a busy road, but thanks to a wonderful foster family, she's now ready to find her forever home. Gina is a playful pup who enjoys tug-of-war with her smaller dog foster siblings and will often initiate playtime by bringing a toy to them. While she can be a bit shy around unfamiliar, larger dogs due to a past negative experience, she lives harmoniously with small dogs under 15 lbs and large dogs over 75 lbs. She's a bit too enthusiastic about neighborhood cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. Gina hasn't been around children, but her jumpiness when excited suggests a home with older, dog-savvy kids (10+) would be a good fit. She absolutely adores toys, loves to collect them in her bed, and has mastered playing fetch. Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily, and we believe having another dog would be beneficial for companionship and burning off energy. Gina is crate trained, with no accidents when crated for up to 8 hours, and walks well on a leash with no signs of separation anxiety. She's currently in her "puppy velociraptor stage," so she'll need guidance on appropriate chewing habits and prefers to enjoy her treats solo. We suspect she'll grow into a large dog and are seeking adopters prepared to raise an active pup with consistent socialization, positive training, and plenty of outlets for exercise and enrichment.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with older children (10 and up) who are dog-savvy. A home with another dog is recommended to keep her company and help her burn off energy. A cat-free home is a must.
