Gigi is a sweet and intelligent Dachshund looking for her forever family! Dachshunds are known for their charming personalities, but they do require a bit of extra patience and understanding, especially when it comes to housetraining. Gigi is hoping to find a home where she can receive plenty of attention and care.
Ideal Home
Gigi would thrive in a home that understands the needs of the Dachshund breed and is prepared for the commitment of housetraining. Potential adopters should have a securely fenced yard for her safety. Homes with young children (under 10) may not be the best fit due to the breed's sensitivity to sudden movements and high activity levels. It's also important to note that Dachshunds can be prone to barking, and homes with close neighbors or a desire for quiet may want to consider this. Gigi is not recommended for homes with cats, as Dachshunds may view them as prey.
Ongoing Health
All rescue dogs receive comprehensive veterinary care. This includes being spayed/neutered, fully immunized, tested for parasites, and tested for heartworms. Any identified health issues are treated to ensure the dog is in excellent health before adoption.
Training & Support
Gigi, like many Dachshunds, will benefit from consistent and patient housetraining. Owners should be prepared to invest time and effort in this aspect of her care.
