Noah is a remarkable young dog, about 1.5 years old (as of May 2023), who is looking for a patient and understanding guardian. He was rescued from Bradshaw and, while he can initially be wary of strangers (especially men), he thrives with gentle introductions and lots of playtime. Noah's trust is built through engaging activities, and once he bonds with you, he's incredibly loyal and loving. He's a smart, high-energy pup who adores playing fetch and has a talent for hanging from his tree toys. Noah has shown incredible progress in his foster home and has even formed strong bonds with men who have invested time in playing with him. He's also a dog's dog and loves canine companionship, excelling in playgroups.
Ideal Home
Noah would be happiest in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can run and play. High fences are recommended, and a yard with trees for his toys would be a bonus! He doesn't need to go on many outings and can be a contented "stay-at-home" dog. He needs to be introduced to new people slowly and consistently, following a specific protocol, or he can be comfortably crated with toys when guests are over. Because he hasn't been exposed to many children, he does have special needs in this area.
Ongoing Health
Noah is a healthy boy with no specific ongoing health conditions noted.
Training & Support
Noah's primary training need revolves around his "stranger danger" and building trust, which he does best through play. He is crate-trained and enjoys his toys when he's in his kennel. He is a very high jumper but has not shown any inclination to escape. If he needs to be kenneled, it should be a covered kennel or he needs to be supervised, though he has never attempted to escape. We can provide guidance on how to introduce him to new people effectively.
