About Sadie

Sadie is a playful and energetic young girl with a gentle heart, who is about 1 year and 3 months old and weighs approximately 26.5 lbs. While she can be a bit cautious with new people, she quickly blossoms with patience and kindness, revealing her sweet and cuddly nature. Sadie is joyful, loving, and full of life, and would thrive in a home that understands her need for a little time to build trust. She shares a rescue story with her brother, Balu; they were found abandoned outside a school in October 2024 and have been waiting for their chance at a loving home ever since.

Ideal Home

Sadie would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, an open mind about the behaviors of rescued street animals, and experience with dog behavior and training or a willingness to hire a trainer. She also requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.

Ongoing Health

Sadie has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive. She also received a health certificate and has a vaccination booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may not be house-trained.

Training & Support

Sadie is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. Rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries are crucial for Sadie to feel secure and build trust.
