About Blue

Meet Blue! Blue is a joyful 6-year-old Doberman with a big smile and an even bigger love for life. This happy, affectionate boy is always ready for his next adventure—whether it’s a game of fetch, a car ride, or simply tagging along as you go about your day. Fetch is his absolute favorite game, and he’ll happily chase a ball until he’s completely worn out. He also enjoys a good game of tug-of-war (with fair warning—he’s pretty proud of his wins!). When playtime is over, Blue is just as content relaxing by your side. He’s a loyal companion who simply wants to be near his person. Blue is great with people, knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake, and rides wonderfully in the car. He is crate trained, though he may bark if crated for extended periods, and he communicates well when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining. His house manners are solid and continue to improve.

Ideal Home

Blue can be a bit rough-and-tumble with other dogs at first, so slow introductions are important. He also has a high prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals is recommended. He would do best in a home where someone is around more often and can continue working with him on crate comfort and routine.

Ongoing Health

All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Blue is having some stimuli reactivity with his current foster and living in a busy neighborhood with lots of bikes, runners, motorcycles and etc. So he will need someone to continue his socialization and exposure training and taking it one day at a time and helping him getting used to all of this energy.
