Benji

Benji is the sweetest, most adorable 3-year-old, 67-pound pit bull mix who was saved from a high-kill shelter in California. He's an easy-going and well-mannered boy who loves to play and cuddle. Benji enjoys his toys and is eager to find a loving forever home where he can continue to heal and thrive.

Ideal Home

Benji would thrive in a home with no other dogs, or with a family willing to give him time to decompress from shelter life with separate introductions to any resident dogs. He would not do well in a home with cats. Benji is good with children.

Ongoing Health

Benji had surgery for a necrotic femoral head and has since recovered. He will need to remain on a pain management plan for his arthritis, which is well-managed with medication, but it doesn't slow him down one bit!

Training & Support

Benji is house-trained and knows basic commands. He will need a family willing and able to give him time to decompress from shelter life by keeping him separate from their existing pack for a couple of weeks if you have other dogs.
