Dani is a sweet and devoted four-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix with a sleek black coat and bright white accents. This 52-pound girl is a soulful blend of resilience and affection. She was found as a young pup on the streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, facing significant medical challenges. Thanks to attentive care, she regained her health and blossomed into the deeply bonded, affectionate companion she is today. She still carries small scars on her paws, gentle reminders of her past, but her spirit is full of warmth and loyalty.
Dani is extraordinarily loving with her people, often curling up close and even "purring" when content. She forms a deep emotional bond and loves to be near her favorite humans, following them from room to room. She's wonderfully intuitive and offers comfort with soft licks when sensing sadness. Dani enjoys tugging ropes, peaceful walks, and knows commands like sit, stay, wait, and come. She's house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is respectful in the home and does not engage in destructive behaviors.
Ideal Home
Dani must be the only pet in her home due to pronounced fear-based reactivity toward other dogs. She can be wary of new situations and some new men, but with thoughtful introductions, she generally warms up. She thrives in a calm, caring environment with an experienced, confident pet parent who can maintain routine. A fenced yard in a quieter setting would be ideal. She would do well with someone who works from home.

Dani has fully recovered from her past medical challenges and carries only small scars on her paws as a reminder. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Dani has worked extensively with a humane trainer using positive reinforcement and thrives with structure and clear guidance. While house-trained and respectful, she may bark at unexpected visitors or service calls to the home due to wariness. She needs a steady hand and a tender heart.
