Ivan

Ivan loves people. He enjoys playing with other dogs, is polite and quiet in his kennel, and spends each day being a good boy, but what makes him happy is people. He doesn't demand constant attention or need a lot of extra stimulation - hanging out with his own family would be his best possible enrichment. We have not tested him with small children, but he is patient, tolerant, and relaxed with everyone he meets.

Ivan is approximately 7 yrs old. His pictures do not do him justice - once you see him for yourself, you will understand. He is currently 77lbs and we are working on his fitness routine to take some of those pounds off. His coat is soft and thick, but not long. He greets you with those striking eyes, a happy smile, and a calm demeanor.

Ivan was picked up by Bakersfield Animal Control near Sam Lynn Ball Park in March 2023. The Bakersfield Animal Care Center hoped to include him on a transport to Canada. We at LCAR fostered him while adopters were being coordinated. Sadly, he did not secure a Canadian foster or adopter in time for the transport, so we have kept him under our umbrella in hopes of finding him that family he is so patiently waiting for.
