Riggs

Riggs is a handsome boy estimated to be around two and a half years old. He's a Cane Corso mix who, along with his companion Harley, was found abandoned and emaciated in a park. Thankfully, a kind person intervened and brought them to safety. Riggs has since gained much-needed weight and is looking much healthier and happier! He's a super sweet boy who, once he warms up to you, will shower you with kisses.

Ideal Home

Riggs would do best in a home with children aged 7 and up who are accustomed to being around dogs. He requires a securely fenced yard and would likely be happiest with another dog who understands his resource guarding tendencies. Homes with young children are not a good fit for Riggs due to his shy nature. He has not been tested with cats.

Ongoing Health

Riggs was found in an emaciated state but has since gained weight and appears to be in good health.

Training & Support

Riggs is a shy boy and initially very scared. He still tends to hide in his kennel when startled. He is unsure of slippery floors and wood steps, which took him time to navigate in his foster home. While he is now reliably going outside to potty, he may need some patience and a refresher on house training in a new environment. He also exhibits resource guarding around his food bowl and chews, so a home prepared to manage this is ideal.
