Iris

Iris is a 3-year-old Retriever mix, weighing around 34 lbs, with a soft, gentle spirit and a heart that’s slowly learning to trust. She came to us very scared and unsure, but with time, patience, and kind interactions, she’s begun to open up and show her true, sweet nature. She’s a shy and timid girl who bonds deeply once she feels safe. Iris may take a little time to warm up, but when she does, her affectionate side shines through in the most rewarding way. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your shadow and form a strong, meaningful connection with her person.

Ideal Home

Iris would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time. She is adoptable to families with children.

Iris is spayed and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Iris may take a little time to warm up, but with love and reassurance, she will continue to blossom into a devoted and loyal companion—the kind that makes every small step forward feel incredibly special.

Transporation

Iris is currently located at our shelter. We have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
