Meet Loki!

Loki is a delightful 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing in at a compact 11 pounds. With his charming wire-haired coat and a heart full of loyalty, Loki is searching for his forever human to be his devoted best friend. He's a calm and well-mannered pup who loves to be by your side, and his absolute favorite pastime is cruising in the car, taking in all the sights. Loki gets along wonderfully with other dogs, children, and adults alike.

When Loki first meets new people, he can be a bit shy and cautious, needing a little time to feel safe and build trust. But with a kind word and a moment to warm up, his tail starts to wag, revealing his sweet and loving personality. He absolutely adores affection and is happy to be petted and cuddled. Loki is an easygoing companion who enjoys quiet walks and simply being a part of your day. Loki's journey began in Saltillo, Mexico, where he was found by community members and taken to a veterinary clinic. Although he received care, he was never reclaimed. We were able to take him into our rescue program, where he received the veterinary attention and love he truly deserved. Now, healthy and safe, Loki is ready to find a patient adopter who will cherish his devotion and give him the time he needs to feel completely secure.

Ideal Home

Loki would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of street animals, requiring protection and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. Loki also requires high tolerance and patience.

Ongoing Health

Loki is healthy, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. He has been dewormed and tested negative for Heartworm and 4DX. He is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra.

Training & Support

Loki is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescue dogs may have experienced trauma and require an adjustment period. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and a consistent routine are crucial for Loki to build trust and feel secure.

• Photos and videos of your home are required to ensure your future furry friend will be safe.
• If you are a match, we will schedule a call or video chat to introduce you to Loki and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• An adoption fee is required upon approval to cover veterinary care, vaccinations, microchip, and food.

Transportation

Loki is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip if adopted. We offer door-to-door delivery for a transport fee of $400 USD. Our transport company is based in Montana and will escort pets across the border into Texas for US adoptions, or to the nearest US-Canada border for Canadian adoptions. Updates will be provided in a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
